Sending love 2021
Valentine’s Day 2021,
It has been almost a year since the COVID-19 Pandemic rocked our world. Many of us are doing our part through hand washing, mask-wearing, and most importantly, socially distancing ourselves when possible. Sadly, this social distance has dramatically impacted many, but this is especially true of those 65 and older. Many of our elderly have spent this past year in extreme isolation. This is even more true for those living in Assisted Living or Eldercare homes. Since March 2020, visitors have been limited, if not prohibited, altogether.
Knowing that human connection is intrinsic to our mental health and well-being and that the separation caused by COVID-19 has hurt so many, we at Resort 2 Kindness wanted to find a way to brighten the day of those missing that human connection the most. So, in honor of Valentine's Day, our kindness community worked tirelessly to create beautiful handmade cards and gifts for our senior friends at MorningStar Senior Living in Boulder, Colorado. Our goal was to make sure each of the 75 residents received a special something hoping that finding out someone was thinking of them on Valentine's would spread hope and joy.
Spreading joy and kindness throughout our community while inspiring others to do the same has always been our goal at Resort 2 Kindness. We firmly believe that even the smallest act of kindness is impactful in immeasurable ways. Also, it feels terrific seeing the joy brought on by one's good deed. Do you feel like sprinkling some kindness yourself? Or perhaps you have been the recipient of a kind gesture or have witnessed service in action; please register it at https://www.resort2kindness.org/log-your-kindness. We love to hear about acts big and small intent on spreading joy.
Resort 2 Kindness would like to thank the staff at MorningStar Senior Living and all our kindness champions for helping us to bring some joy to our local seniors on a day celebrating love.
