The stink bug project
The Stink Bug Project was created by Allison Winn,
a cancer survivor who realized that kids in the hospital can get lonely. When asked about The Stink Bug Project, Allison recounted, “Just before my last chemo treatment, I drew a picture of a stink bug. That stink bug became my metaphor for chemo and cancer going away. I started The Stink Bug Project because I wanted kids with serious medical conditions to have a dog, a best friend, to help them feel better and get them through their stink bug.” For The Little Give 2009, with the help of our amazing Kindness Community, we raised $10,000 for Allison’s Stink Bug Project.
